Meeting to discuss pike regs on Otter Tail, West Battle lakes

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold an informational meeting at the Battle Lake Community Center, 112 East Main St., Battle Lake, from 7 to 8 p.m. Sept. 24, to discuss the status of northern pike regulations on Otter Tail and West Battle lakes in Otter Tail County.

Updated information collected since the regulations were implemented in 2003 will be provided. These regulations will be in place until 2021.

The northern pike regulation for each lake is:

• Otter Tail Lake – Minimum size limit of 30 inches with one fish over 30 inches in possession.

• West Battle Lake – All pike from 24 to 36 inches must be immediately released. One fish over 36 inches allowed in possession.
