Lake Region Healthcare announces the addition of Chris Rott, DO to the Lake Region Healthcare team of professionals in the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department.
He will provide general orthopedic care in the clinic as well as hip and knee replacement surgery in the Joint Care Center.
Dr. Rott will offer anterior approach hip replacement which will complement the traditional technique and offer joint replacement patients at Lake Region Healthcare choices to fit their individual needs.
A graduate of Jamestown High School in Jamestown, N.D, Dr. Rott went on to obtain his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Kirksville, MO.
Most recently Dr. Rott completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. He also has an interest in international medical missions and was overseas in Ecuador, Nigeria, Honduras and Ghana, West Africa. He recently returned from a week long trip to the Dominican Republic to work with CURE International this August.
He and his family are excited to be moving to the lakes area where Chris spent childhood summers visiting his family’s cabin on Otter Tail Lake. He loves water sports including scuba diving, swimming, knee boarding, and both water and snow skiing. He also enjoys gardening and road biking. He and his wife Penny have three boys: Logan, Isaac and Eli.
