One of three people charged in a burglary of a 350-pound safe from a Richville garage was sentenced to 29 months in prison.
Daniel Lee Conklin, 29, of Detroit Lakes, was sentenced Sept. 6 in Otter Tail County District Court for felony second-degree burglary. He pleaded guilty July 29.
Also charged in the case were Glen Alan Parsons, 29, of New York Mills, who was sentenced to jail time Aug. 16, and Jessica Marie Silva, 33, of Frazee, who is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 23.
According to the criminal complaint, authorities responded to a burglary in progress call just before noon May 25 along County Hwy. 14 in Richville. Parsons reportedly broke a window to get into a garage, then he and Conklin reportedly walked out carrying a 350-pound safe on a two-wheel cart. When they saw the 911 caller, they reportedly dropped the safe and ran into the woods. Silva was reportedly the lookout during the burglary.
