Tigers pounce Comets in three [UPDATED]

It was one-two-three night for the Rothsay Tiger volleyball team as it swept a visiting Hillcrest Lutheran Academy team in three sets (25-10, 25-15, 25-19).

Lexy Dunbar led the Tiger offense with nine kills. Ashley Maack had four kills of her own and contributed 26 set assists. Kendra Nord scored eight kills and Chelsie Lankow had seven.

“I thought we played well tonight and kept the energy up throughout all three games,” said Rothsay head coach Heather Reber. “I through our offense was strong and the girls played really eel as a team. Everyone really stepped up and contributed to the win.”

The Tigers host Lake Park-Audubon on Monday. Hillcrest battles Little Eight for Ashby on Tuesday. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
