After falling behind 1-2, the Brandon-Evansville Chargers came back to defeat the Hancock Owls on Monday night 3-2 (25-14,16-25, 24-26, 25-17, 15-7).
Caroline Jansen led the Charger offense with 18 kills. Mariah Hansen followed with 10 kills and recorded 21 digs on the night. Emma Friedrich also had 10 kills and added 10 digs of her own.
“A tough win tonight. Hancock came to play so we have to give them credit. I know they are disappointed but they really scrambled for every ball,” said Charger head coach Kelly Olson We had some bright spots on the court. I thought we served pretty well as a whole and I think after going down 1-2 in sets we battled. The match was very ragged at times, but we found a way to pull it out.”
Brandon-Evansville hosts Parker’s Prairie on Thursday in a 7:30 p.m. Little Eight Conference match up.
