Man sentenced for huffing [UPDATED]Published 9:17am Tuesday, September 17, 2013 Updated 11:18am Tuesday, September 17, 2013
The 37-year-old Fergus Falls man arrested last month after he huffed from an aerosol can in his vehicle pleaded guilty and was sentenced Sept. 9 in Otter Tail County District Court.
Christopher Louis Randall was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 150 days to be stayed for six years, for gross misdemeanor third-degree driving while impaired. In exchange for the plea, an additional count of misdemeanor obstructing the legal process-interfering with a peace officer was dismissed.
According to the police report, a report came in at 7:45 a.m. Aug. 26 of a driver at West Lincoln Avenue and South Tower Road who appeared to be huffing an aerosol can. Police located the vehicle, and Randall, in Broadway Park where Randall reportedly huffed while talking to an officer. Randall became uncooperative and was arrested.
