The Fergus Falls man arrested last week after he broke into his estranged wife’s apartment was charged in Otter Tail County District Court.
Michael Anthony Ian Arellano, 28, was charged Sept. 13 with felony first-degree burglary.
According to the police report, Arellano went to the residence in the 300 block of North Mill Street at 2:18 p.m. and knocked on the door.
When his wife told him to leave, he broke a window and tried to crawl through it.
Once inside, he tried to kick the bedroom door in where the woman was.
He also got involved in a physical altercation with another man inside the apartment.
The suspect was arrested for first-degree burglary and violation of a domestic abuse no contact order, which was in place from previous charges.
Arellano’s next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 23.
