Russian born and trained pianist Mila Belakova will be performing at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at A Center for the Arts’ Fergus Theatre, in downtown Fergus Falls.
This is the first of four On-Stage Concerts for the 2013-14 season.
It is an intimate chamber music experience with a limited number of seats set-up on AC4TA’s stage with the artist. Only 70 tickets are available. Reserved seating tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for children/students. Tickets can be purchased at the Center box office, by phone at 218-998-ARTS (2787) and online at www.FergusArts.org.
Her repertoire includes many of the most renowned classical masterpieces and a lot of beautiful pieces by Russian composers yet little known to the American audience.
Since moving to Rapid City in 2007, she has been teaching piano and music theory, accompanying different orchestra instruments, choirs, and classical ballet dance classes as well as playing solo concerts for the communities across South Dakota and in Washington, D.C. Her thorough and thoughtful instruction helped her students receive numerous awards for outstanding performance and brought her several teaching recognition prizes.
The On-Stage Concerts are sponsored in part by Lake Region Healthcare.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
