Alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Parkers Prairie, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.
A 22-year-old Parkers Prairie man drove a pickup truck westbound on State Hwy. 235 near 555th Avenue at 3:45 p.m. The truck crossed over the road, entered the south ditch, hit road signs and a steep approach before coming to a stop upright in the ditch.
The driver had minor injuries to his face and complained of soreness in his lower back. He was evaluated by Parkers Ambulance Service and was taken by a private party to Douglas County Hospital.
The vehicle was heavily damaged and towed from the scene.
