Sletmoen and Kostet were edged out by teammate Jared Cowden for Medalist honors. Cowden beat the pair by a stoke with a 79.
In the Women’s tournament, Kari Larson finished with a score of 116 for the Spartans.
“It was the toughest conditions we’ve had this year so the scores were a little higher,” said Spartan head coach Jason Retzlaff. “We struggled on the front nine but steadied as we got to the back nine.”
The Spartans are on the road once again today as they play at The Legend Golf Course in Biwabik. It is their last regular season meet of the year before they play in the MCAC State and Regional tournament.
