Final Farmers Market of the season is Saturday [UPDATED]Published 9:10am Wednesday, September 25, 2013 Updated 11:12am Wednesday, September 25, 2013
The Fergus Falls Farmers Market will celebrate its final Saturday of the season Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 on the grounds of the Otter Tail County Historical Society Museum, Lincoln Avenue.
This year the market has grown from early garden produce, honey, maple syrup and garden crafts to a full array of bounty from local growers.
Along with a wealth of fresh vegetables from fields and gardens, the selection now includes canned goods, pastured pork and grass fed beef, eggs, baked treats, home-made tamales, chips and salsa, along with all the “fixings” for Halloween and fall – pumpkins, ornamental gourds, Indian corn, straw bales and corn stalks.
A drawing will be held at noon to award some lucky customer a Market Harvest Basket stocked with samplings from the more than 30 vendors.
