C-G-B rolls past Brandon-Evansville

GRACEVILLE – Minnesota’s topped rank 9-man football team Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley took a big victory against the Brandon-Evansville Chargers Friday night, relying on a 48-0 halftime lead to finish out the game 54-16.

James Huisman led the Charger ground game with 22 yards on 11 carries. Quarterback Tom Bosek completed five of his 13 passes for 86 yards. He connected with McKennen Plaster for a 59-yard touchdown pass that was one of McKennen’s four receptions for 80 yards.

Quinn Skyler led the Charger defense with 11 tackles.

The Chargers are now 3-2 on the season and go on the road to face a tough 4-1 Wheaton/Herman-Norcross team at 7 p.m. on Friday in Wheaton.
