Matthew Allen Bohn, 33, of Clitherall, was charged Sept. 6 in Otter Tail County District Court with felony domestic abuse-violates two or more order for protection within 10 years of previous conviction.

According to the criminal complaint, Bohn was stopped for speeding Sept. 5 in the area of State Hwy. 210 and Hwy. 29. A check of Bohn’s driver’s license revealed a current order for protection in place against, dated June 6, 2013, Bohn with the woman he was with during the traffic stop, the report says. The OFP reportedly shows Bohn is not to have contact with the woman.

Both Bohn and the woman reportedly told authorities they thought the OFP had been dismissed.

A search of Bohn’s criminal history indicates a domestic assault conviction April 14, 2004 and a 911 interference conviction Aug. 29, 2012.

Bohn’s next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 16.
