A 23-year-old Fergus Falls woman was bitten by a dog Wednesday just north of Cleveland Elementary School, according to police.

A medium-sized brown dog (unknown breed) bit the woman around 5 p.m. in the 1100 block of Northern Avenue.

The dog was biting another dog at the time, and the woman tried to break them up when the dog bit her on her right hand, breaking the skin.

She was treated at Lake Region Healthcare.

It is unknown where the dogs came from or where they went after the incident.
