Highway 78 will be repaved next week

Published 12:58pm Friday, September 20, 2013

Highway 78, which has been closed to through-traffic for several weeks, will be repaved next week.

Different sections of the highway between Battle Lake and Perham will be affected during the week. Flaggers and signs will alert drivers to the work.

The state Department of Transportation advised that drivers should expect a slower ride in the area, as flaggers will allow one-way, alternating traffic during construction hours. The repaving is expected to take one month.

Highway 78 has been closed since construction work began last month. Only residents and local traffic are permitted to access the road for the duration of the repaving project.
