Money stolen from downtown businesses

Unknown people stole money from two businesses in downtown Fergus Falls, according to police.

About $600 was taken from the till and safe sometime Tuesday night from Hair N Beyond where thieves forced open a back door, in the 100 block of North Cascade Street. The safe had been left unlocked.

A Center for the Arts also reported a theft overnight Tuesday.

About $458 was stolen from a safe. The suspects did not force entry into the building.

They reportedly moved the safe to a different part of the building and used tools there to break into the safe.

It is uncertain whether the thefts are connected.

I feel so safe in this town..how do places on a main street get robbed?

A Center for the arts, ” suspects did not force entry” sounds like an inside job.

Hair N Beyond, ” the safe had been unlocked” what good is a safe if left open? Sounds like another inside job.

How does this happen on main street? Too many drug users that can not hold a job because of drug use.

The parents are probably on drugs ; )
