Spartans take part in Rochester Invite [UPDATED]

ROCHESTER — The M State Spartans were able to win one of four games it played at the Rochester Invite Friday and Saturday.

The Spartans started the tournament with a 3-1 victory (25-17, 25-22, 14-25, 25-23) over Northern Iowa, but fell 3-1 to Ellsworth, Iowa, 3-2 to Harper College and 3-2 to Northwestern JV.

The Spartans will get a break as it competes in the Northland Invitational in Thief River Falls Friday and Saturday.
