FARGO — Nick Trosdahl had a season best 129 yards on 15 carries scoring a total of five touchdowns to lead the Otter Tail Central Bulldog football team over the United North Central Warriors 48-6 in the Fargodome on Thursday afternoon.
“He ran well and the line did a great job opening up holes for him,” said Bulldog head coach Don Seipkes of Trosdahl’s performance.
Quarterback Tony Ukkelberg had his best passing performance of the season as well, as he went 6-7 for 131 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
Andrew Smith nearly broke the century mark on the ground with 92 yards rushing on 15 carries and a touchdown.
The Bulldogs held the Warriors scoreless for three quarters, giving up its only score with just four minutes left in the game. Otter Tail Central out gained the UNC with 422 total yards to the Warriors 261 yards.
Cody Seedorf led the Bulldog defense with six tackles and an assist. Andrew Van Erp followed with five, with four assists, a fumble recovery and an interception. Brandon DeBauche, Ukkelberg and Smith also had five tackles.
The Bulldogs received the number three seed in the Section 6AA playoff and will take on the Long Prairie Grey Eagle at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in Henning.
“With us playing five class A schools and the rest of the section playing class AA schools, I expected us to get the third seed,” Seipkes said. “We are just glad to play our first game at home.”
