PERHAM — Looking to replicate last season’s state run, the Perham Yellowjackets got off to a great start as a dominant first half led to a 35-14 victory in Section 8AAA playoffs Tuesday.

In the first half, Perham built a 28-0 lead as four different runners, Cole Schmitz, Josh Still, Payton Jordahl and Eli Beachy, found the endzone on the ground.

East Grand Forks would get on the board in the third quarter, but a second Jordahl run would secure the win early in the fourth.

Jordahl finished the game with 18 carries for 120 yards and two touchdowns, while teammate Beachy carried for 133 yards, 17 times and a touchdown in the win.
