ALEXANDRIA — Senior Abby Fisher continues to make her final season swimming for the Maroon and Gold memorable as she claimed two all-conference honors as the Fergus Falls girls swim team competed at the Central Lakes Conference championships Saturday.
Fisher was able to claim a second place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.49 and finished in third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.65.
The Otters also saw two swimmers receive honorable mentions in the conference as Dani Ross placed fourth in the 100 freestyle (57.50) and Emilie Reard took fifth in both the 200 IM (2:22.74) and the 100 breaststroke (1:14.74).
“Congratulations to the Otters for the following accomplishments at CLC Championships,” Fergus Falls head coach Tom Uvaas said.
The Otter girls placed sixth out nine teams at the meet as Sartell-St. Stephen took the top spot followed by the Brainerd Warriors and the Willmar Cardinals.
Other individual standouts included first year diver Camryn Appert as she took 12th out of 27 divers, while the Otter 200 medley relay team of Fisher, Reard, Ross and Rachel Johnson and the 200 freestyle team of Fisher, Reard, Ross and Caitlyn Colbeck took fourth in their events.
Fergus was also in a three-way tie with Sauk Rapids and Willmar for the CLC Sportsmanship award.
The Otters will now prepare for the Section 8A championships at Bemidji on Nov. 8-9.
