A mark of a great team is when they can overcome obstacles in a game and claim a victory.
On Friday, the Fergus Falls Otters were able to overcome a slow start to cruise past the Barnesville Trojans in the second round of the Section 8AA playoffs 25-15, 25-16, 25-16.
Anna Monke continues he recent dominance at the net as she led the Otters with 15 kills and five and a half blocks. Fergus continued its team success at the serving line, while Brianna Rasmusson led the team with an 18 for 19 night that saw her pick up two aces.
The Otters will now take on the Perham Yellowjackets at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Wadena. This game pits the top two seeds in the Southern half of the playoffs, where the seeding was so close the teams could have flipped placing in the bracket.
