Rockets lose chance at repeat

WHEATON — The Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warrior volleyball team ended the defending Section 6A champion Underwood Rockets chance at a repeat Friday night, taking the playoff match in three sets (25-21, 25-20, 25-23).

Senior Kaitlyn Holen led the Rockets on the evening with 11 kills and 10 digs. Taylor Leitch had 13 digs of her own, while Brianna Harthun contributed 11 and Kenzie Woodman had 10.

The Rockets finish the season at an even record of 15-15.
