December high school Career Expo seeks displays [UPDATED]Published 10:30am Wednesday, October 30, 2013 Updated 12:31pm Wednesday, October 30, 2013
Fergus Falls regional employers are invited to participate once again in this year’s Career Expo at the Fergus Falls High School gymnasium, Thursday, Dec. 5.
The morning event showcases both higher education and future career possibilities for senior high students from several area schools.
Organizers are looking for businesses who want to help educate youth on jobs within their firm and what skills are necessary to get those jobs.
Participating businesses are given a table, booth space and encouraged to interact with students, either through discussions or demonstrations.
The Career Expo offers a chance for area firms to let youth know about their business and the potential to live and work in the region.
It is hoped that by educating local youth, they understand the local career opportunities available to them now and in the future.
There is no fee to participate; electricity and tables/chairs are provided. Interested businesses can contact Rick Schara, 218-205-1043, or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org to request additional information or receive a registration form.
