Arts will raise your spirits

Snow, holidays, a new year; that’s right, I’ll write it, “Winter in Minnesota” is upon us.

Endlessly long, cold, dark nights and days. Really nothing to look forward to. But wait, what about keeping your own or someone else’s spirits up and excited about the future through the winter of 2013 — you know the Vikings won’t do it.

Need to have a pick-me-up, a feel good evening or experience? How about attending warm, exciting and stimulating events at the Fergus Falls A Center for the Arts?

We have a plethora of diverse events to make even the staunchest of lutefisk eating Norwegians smile, not giddy but, yes, smile.

We are packed full of heartwarming adventures to get you through this record breaking winter season.

Rocky Horror Picture Show, Anthony Zerbe, Tonic Sol Fa, Dance and Desert, Wendy and Linda, AC4TA Children’s Choir’s concert, Downton Abby sneak peek, Holiday Organ Concert, Santa Saturday movies, Fargo/Moorhead Symphony, Fergus Area has Talent Show, Thodos Dance Chicago, Razzle Dazzle, the Bills, Project Trio, and London Calling. We also have our big holiday art show coming up in December.

Then the birds come back the snow melts, everyone loves the Twins and is looking for the Vikes to go to the Super Bowl (everyone should have a dream) and more wonderful spring time activities at your Center for the Arts, including movies, theatre, music, and so very much more.

A Center for the Arts offers gift certificates which make the most wonderful birthday and Christmas gifts.

People remember their experiences at our venue.

Give your back a break from shoveling and enjoy our new seating. Come hang out with friends and help create today’s memories.

Shop local, give local.

Michael Burgraff is the director of A Center for the Arts in Fergus Falls.
