Bruggeman leads Vikings over Roseau

ROSEAU — Pelican Rapids running back Ryan Bruggeman was everywhere on the field Friday night as Bruggeman scored five touchdowns to lead the Vikings to a 50-38 wins over the Roseau Rams.

Bruggeman was able to find the endzone twice on punt returns, one for 64 yards and another for 26, two on the ground (4, 1 yard runs) and one receiving (9 yards).

Bruggeman finished the evening with 130 yards on 15 carries.

The Rams were a constant threat on the ground as it compiled 390 rush yards with Jacob Eaton rushing for 162 and Alex Halstensgard sprinting for 137.

The Vikings will have a chance to earn a share of the Heart O’Lakes Conference title next Thursday as it travels to the Fargodome for a showdown against the Breckenridge Cowboys.
