Bulldogs’ offense blasts Fighting Saints

BATTLE LAKE — Running back Andrew Smith opened Friday night’s football game with a 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown before rushing for 211 yards and three more touchdowns as the Otter Tail Central Bulldogs dominated the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sundburg Fighting Saints 64-0.

Smith’s three rushing touchdowns came on runs from 44, 43 and 36 yards.

The Bulldogs ended with a season high 482 yards on offense.

The Bulldog defense held the Fighting Saints to -2 yards and only one first down.

Nick Trosdahl had 97 yards on the ground off five carries and two touchdowns. Cody Seedorf had 80 yards on nine carries and one touchdown.

Tyler Ukkelberg led the defense with five tackles. Kaleb Thalmann and Vance Doll each had a sack.

The Bulldogs are 6-1 and face United North Central at 1:15 on Thursday in the Fargodome.
