Marjorie Schmidt, 93, of Henning, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at her home.

Marjorie Lucille LaGrange was born on July 17, 1920, in Appleton, the daughter of the late D’Carr and Rosebud (Morris) LaGrange.

Marjorie attended and graduated from the Appleton High School in Appleton.

On May 8, 1948, Marjorie married Christian A. Schmidt at Methodist Church in Minneapolis. They moved to Underwood where they farmed.

After they retired from farming, Marjorie and Christian moved to Henning.

Christian passed away on Sept. 3, 1996.

Marjorie continued to reside in Henning.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Preceding Marjorie in death were her parents; husband; brothers, Myron and Harvey; and sisters, Laurine, Avis and Joy.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Charles Schmidt of Osakis and Kermit Schmidt of Fargo; grandchildren, Kevin, Jennie, Daryl and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Kevin and Miranda; brother, Daryl LaGrange; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Belmont Funeral Home in Henning, with the Rev. Jean-Claude “JC” Duncan officiating. Burial was in Inman Cemetery in Henning

Belmont Funeral Home in Henning was in charge of arrangements.
