DETROIT LAKES — It took two days, but the Perham Yellowjackets upset the #4 (AAAA) Detroit Lakers 14-0 in a football game that was postponed until Saturday because of lightening in the first quarter.

Led by Cole Schmitz’s 10 tackles, the Yellowjacket defense kept the high powered Laker offense to just 147 yards of total offense in the shutout.

Payton Jordahl led Perham with 119 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Eli Beachy followed close behind with 108 yards rushing and a touchdown.

The Yellowjackets improve to 5-2 on the season and hit the road to take on Park Rapids Area at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Park Rapids.
