Republicans want to work with governor to fix mistakes [UPDATED]Published 9:57am Friday, November 1, 2013 Updated 12:05pm Friday, November 1, 2013
Being a conservative leader and a minority member in St Paul, I agree wholeheartedly with the October 24th Fergus Falls Daily Journal editorial “Un-session requires top to bottom look at laws.”
I will work with the Governor in repealing outdated laws, along with the massive overreach he and his Democrat allies enacted in the last session.
However, one must wonder why this is coming from Governors Dayton’s office, now? Is this re-election politics, or is he serious? Small businesses and tax payers are already being hurt by these new increases. If he were serious, Governor Dayton should have taken the issue up in the special session he called in September. If in fact our governor is serious, I along with my colleagues stand ready to work with his office, to get take care of the DFL mistakes.
