Teen driver hits tree [UPDATED]

A 16-year-old Vining girl lost control of her vehicle and hit a tree Saturday afternoon, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver was the lone occupant in the vehicle at 2:19 p.m. near 160th Street and 406th Avenue when she lost control in a curve, went off the road and hit a tree. She refused medical attention but was taken to Lake Region Hospital by a parent for her injuries.
