Battle Lake boys start season with 70-32 win

BATTLE LAKE —The defending Section 6A champion Battlers got off to a good start to its season Tuesday as it upended the Hancock Owls 70-32 Thursday.

Battle Lake’s Tyler Ukkelberg and Andrew VanErp each scored 15 points, while teammate Petric VanErp threw down 12 marks of his own

The Battlers will be back in action Tuesday as it hosts Little Eight Conference foe Ashby at 7:30 p.m.
