Arrows drop after quick start against Battlers

BATTLE LAKE — Despite a quick start and an 11 point lead in the first half, the Ashby Arrows girls basketball team lost to the Battle Lake Battlers 60-48 on Tuesday night.

Masison VanSanten led the Arrows with 24 points. Cassandra Jordan added eight and Kerstyn Schroeder followed up with six.

“The Arrows played with class tonight and my hat is off to them,” head Arrows basketball coach Troy Mickelson said.

The Arrows travel to Hillcrest Lutheran Academy on Thursday for a 7:30 tip-off. The Battlers host Rothsay at 7:30.
