Due to extremely slippery, icy road conditions, a wrecker was totaled after it crashed into a building formerly known as the Red Hut Saturday, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The 47-year-old driver was headed east on County Hwy. 1 at 4:24 p.m. when he lost control on a sweeping left curve near Bullrush Drive. The wrecker went into the ditch sideways where it slid across Bullrush Drive before crashing into the building.

The driver was not injured. The building sustained substantial damage.
