Quality Toyota Sports Spotlight: Wrestling with Eddie Ramos

Published 9:31am Tuesday, December 3, 2013

Senior Eddie Ramos is looking forward to the 2013-14 wrestling season. Ramos, a two sport athlete, hopes to be a diesel mechanic in the future.

I took to the mat for a few questions and a few moves as I interviewed the Pelican Rapids grappler.

Q: What is your favorite subject?

A: I would have to say Economics. It talks about life and what you are going to expect once you get into the working world.

Q: So what other sports do you play?

A: Football in the fall.

Q: Between football and wrestling, what is your favorite sport?

A: (Laughs) I can’t really pick a favorite.

Q: What are your expectations for this wrestling season, both individually and for the team?

A: As an individual, I personally would like to make it to state and place. As for the team, I think everyone would like to have the whole team make it to state. I would also like us to be better than we were last year.

Q: Being a senior, what will you miss most about Pelican Rapids High School?

A: I will miss being with friends, most of my teachers and sports.

Q: What are your plans for next year?

A: I plan to go to UTI (Universal Technical Institute) to become a diesel mechanic.

Q: If you won a million dollars, what would you do with it?

A: I would make sure that my family is in good shape and I would donate some money to help build the school.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Chicken Alfredo.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

A: Hopefully, own my own shop and have a family.
