Three elected to regional board [UPDATED]

Three School Board members were reelected to positions on the regional Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) Board this month. Marc Hasbargen, Breckenridge School Board Member, Jon Karger, Pelican Rapids School Board Member and Paul Ness, Battle Lake School Board Member will join the 11-member LCSC board to serve four-year positions.

Two regional superintendents serve as ex-officio members of the board.

LCSC is a regional public non-profit cooperative of school districts, cities, counties, government and non-profit agencies. LCSC Board members are elected from a pool of active board and council members from its member organizations.

The board and executive director oversee a staff of more than 100 employees who provide services to member organizations in a 9 County region.

LCSC currently operates more than 50 programs and partnerships that impact lives in west central Minnesota. LCSC is a leader in providing organizational support, including business, technology, human resources and benefits support to member organizations. It is also widely known for professional development for teachers and staff and academic challenges, including the Spelling Bee and Knowledge Bowl, for students.
