A residence in the 1300 block of South Cascade Street was burglarized and vandalized, which included ketchup, mustard and chocolate syrup being squeezed onto the living room walls, sometime between Nov. 24 and Nov. 29, according to Fergus Falls police.

Entry was made through an unlocked window on the north side of the residence.

A violin valued at $100-150 was broken in the basement, and paperwork is missing from the residence, including birth certificates and a death certificate.

The case is under investigation.
