Weekend events resume

After a slow past few weeks, there are some exciting events in Fergus Falls this weekend.

A Center For The Arts is hosting two exclusive events this week. On Friday, The team behind the documentary “Shine” will be there for a showing of the film and to talk about the choreography.

On Saturday, the dance troupe featured in the documentary, Thodos Dance Chicago, will perform at A Center For The Arts. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

With a free family concert Saturday at the Fergus Falls Public Library and several events at WestRidge Mall, there are plenty of events to mark down on the calendar.

 

Friday

• Open swimming, Kennedy Secondary School pool, 7 to 9 p.m.

• “Shine” documentary and choreographer’s talk, A Center For The Arts, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Quilts of Valor sewing day, WestRidge Mall, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Saturday

• Family concert with Joseph DeMasi, Fergus Falls Public Library, 10 to 11 a.m.

• Just For Kix winter dance show, Kennedy Secondary School, 4 to 5 p.m.

• Girl Scout Powder Puff Derby, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, First Lutheran Church

• Thodos Dance Chicago, A Center For The Arts, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

• Youth snowmobile safety course, Roosevelt Education Center, 9 to 11 a.m.

• Farm toy and antique show, WestRidge Mall, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Caring Partners garage sale, WestRidge Mall, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Sunday

• Farm toy and antique show, WestRidge Mall, 12 to 5 p.m.
