Senior Brooke Tinjum is taking it all in during her final season as a basketball player for the Underwood Rockets.
I sat down with Brooke to talk about basketball, her future plans and what some of her favorite things are.
Q: What is your favorite subject?
A: Math. It’s interesting, we learn something new everyday and it gets your brain going.
Q: What are your plans for next year?
A: I’m not for sure, but I”m looking to go up to Moorhead to become a dental hygienist.
Q: Why did you chose to focus on becoming a dental hygienist?
A: It’s interested me for a few years now. I think it would be a good job to have.
Q: With this being your last year at Underwood, what are you trying to enjoy your senior season?
A: To work my hardest and to enjoy being with the girls. We have grown close and it will be the last time that I get to play for our coaches and Underwood school.
Q: What is your best memory of playing basketball?
A: The locker room time with the girls and getting out on the court and playing our hardest.
Q: What type of music do you listen to?
A: I listen to pop, especially before a game. It gets your blood flowing and get your ready for the game.
Q: What are some of your favorite artists?
A: Rhianna and Lady Gaga.
Q: What is your favorite color and why?
A: My favorite color is coral. It’s a funky color and its kind of always been my favorite.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: My favorite movie is Marley and Me. I like really like dogs.
Q: If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
A: I would buy my parents a new house and save the rest for college and my future.
Q: Where is the furthest you have traveled from the area?
A: I travel to San Antonio, TX. I went with my aunt to watch the women’s Final Four basketball tournament.
Q: Any specific team you were rooting for?
A: Connecticut and they won. I have always been a big fan of the team.
