Susan M. Rodriguez, 57, of Ashby, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014.

She was born July 2, 1956, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Lloyd and Frances (Churchill) Julin. She attended high school in Truman, and graduated in 1974. After high school, she attended North Dakota State College of Science for nursing.

In 1989, Sue and her family moved to Ashby. She began working at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls as an LPN She remained employed there until the time of her passing.

Sue enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandkids. She loved going outdoors to enjoy the sights and sounds; taking many pictures. On her quiet days, she liked to read books, stitch towels and bake.

Preceding her in death were her father, Lloyd; and a brother, Steve.

Survivors include her mother, Frances; sons, Luke (Jessica) Rodriguez of Thief River Falls, and Aaron Rodriguez of Detroit Lakes; two granddaughters, Amery and Quinn Rodriguez; one grandson, Parker Rodriguez; brothers, Bill (Marion) Julin and Dennis Julin; sisters, Mary (Larry) Landgren and Rose Breitbarth; five nephews; one niece; and many close friends.

A memorial service is planned at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26th, at Peace Lutheran Church in Ashby.
