Comets tame Tigers on the road

ROTHSAY — Daniel Nersten and Jake Isaac packed the offensive punch for the Hillcrest boys basketball team Thursday as the two combined for 63 points on the way to a 83-53 victory over Rothsay.

Nersten finished the evening with a double-double, scoring 36 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Isaac dropped in 27 of his own for the Comets.

Rothsay’s Brett Brenden was also recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while teammate Logan Moen added 14 points.

The Comets will welcome in another Little Eight Conference foe Tuesday as it hosts Underwood in a 7:30 p.m. match-up, while the Tigers will look to get back on track as it hosts the Waubun Bombers at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
