UNDERWOOD — The Underwood boys basketball team was able to get back on the right track Thursday as it defeated Little Eight Conference foe Brandon-Evansville 60-50.
“This was just a nice, strong team win for us,” Underwood coach Jesse Arbuckle said. “All guys contributed in different aspects of the game. We were well disciplined on the offensive side of the court and aggressive on the defensive end.”
Matt Biegler continued his recent dominance in the post as he scored 20 points and pulled down 10 boards for the Rockets. Teammates Adam Creek (15) and Adam Thormodson (10) each scored double digits in the win.
Skyler Quinn led the Chargers with 18 points, while Thomas Bosek chipped in 11.
The Rockets will not get any rest before its next contest as it hosts the West Central Area Knights at 7:30 p.m. Friday, while the Chargers will be back at home Monday as it hosts the Wheaton/Hermann-Norcross Warriors in a 7:30 p.m. tilt.
