Spartans fall in close battle with Cyclones

ST. CLOUD — The M State Spartan men struggled from the field, but nearly pulled off the upset victory versus No. 2 ranked St. Cloud Technical College Cyclones 66-64 Saturday.

J. J. Morris led the Spartans with 15 points, while teammates Ja’Vonte Johnson (12) and Cole Riley (10) were also in double figures.

The Spartans will be back at home Wednesday as it hosts the Ridgewater Warriors in a 8 p.m. tip-off.
