Footprints led police to a BB gun thief Sunday, according to Fergus Falls police.

A Fergus Falls man reported Sunday afternoon that someone broke into his shed in the 600 block of Cleveland Avenue and stole a BB gun. Police followed footprints to Friberg and East Mount Faith avenues. Boots were found that matched the prints.

A 13-year-old boy admitted to going into the shed and taking the gun, which was then recovered.
