Ohren, Arrows edge Tigers 69-68

ROTHSAY —The Ashby boys basketball was able to survive a match-up with the hosting Rothsay Tigers Tuesday as Blake Ohren hit a game winning shot to give the Arrows a 69-68 victory.

The Tigers, who held a 35-29 lead at the break, were able to push its lead to double digits in the second half. The Arrows would chip away at the lead until Ohren’s final shot.

“Rothsay played a nice game tonight. They shot the ball well and played good defense,” Arrows coach Jeremy Knick said. “Coach Hone has done a good job with those guys.”

Ohren finished the game with 28 points for the Arrows, while teammate Morgan Wing scored 25 points in the win.

Logan Moen had a great night for the Tigers scoring 31 points.

The Arrows look to continue its winning steak as it hosts Brandon-Evansville at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The Tigers will look to snap an eight-game losing skid as it travels to Parkers Prairie for a 7:30 p.m. Little Eight Conference battle Friday.
