The Pelican Rapids School Board has sent out a survey to district residents about their desire for the district to continue the four-day school week, according to a report in the Pelican Rapids Press.

The survey was completed and sent out earlier this week. Residents have until Jan. 24 to complete and return the survey.

Public support is necessary for the continuation of the four-day school week.

If the public support is there, the plan could be extended for an additional two years.

The Pelican Rapids School District first implemented a four-day school week in 2010.
