Jorgenson: Fergus Falls’ musical rollerPublished 11:22am Tuesday, February 18, 2014
Jayde Jorgenson is a senior bowler for the Fergus Falls Otter girls bowling team.
A dedicated musician at the Fergus Falls High School, Jorgenson plans on entering the nursing field when she graduates from college.
I sat down and talked with Jorgenson about her time at Northern Aire Lanes and her plans for the future.
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: It definitely has to be my music classes, band and choir. I play flute and piccolo and also play piano in the jazz band. I do pep band, marching band and jazz band.
Q: Do you have any plans for next year?
A: I’m going to M State in Fergus Falls to study my generals, then I’m going to do a four year RN.
Q: Why do you want to go into nursing?
A: I’ve just always liked taking care of people, like my grandpas when they were still alive, I took care of them. I’ve always loved caring for people.
Q: What do you like about bowling?
A: The competitiveness.
Q: What is your favorite thing about being on the bowling team?
A: Everyone is a good sport about everything. We always cheer each other on even if we are going against each other.
Q: How long have you been bowling?
A: I’ve been bowling since first grade, so 12 years.
Q: What is your favorite color?
A: I actually have two favorite colors: blue and green.
Q: Why do you like blue and green?
A: No idea (laughs).
Q: What would you do with a million dollars?
A: I would probably buy a really nice car, get a house, pay for college and whatever I have left spend it on clothing, typical girl stuff.
Q: What car would you buy?
A: Probably a Ford Mustang.
Q: What do you like most about living in Fergus Falls?
A: I like that everyone is so friendly. The people are nice and you can pretty much talk to anybody.
