Brenden scores 1,000th, but Tigers fall to Hornets

ROTHSAY — Rothsay’s Brett Brenden capped off his senior season by eclipsing the 1,000 point mark Thursday, but the Henning Hornets would take the win from the Tigers 46-40.

Brenden would get to the milestone on his final points of the night as he finished with a 18 point, 18 rebound game.

The Tigers will hope for a better outcome Monday as it hosts Norman County West in the opening round of the Section 6A Playoffs at 7 p.m., while the Hornets will close out its regular season with a game against the Hancock Owls at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
