Kollar signs with Valley City State

VALLEY CITY – Valley City State University (N.D.) head football coach Dennis McCulloch is pleased to announce Underwood native Maxwell Kollar has signed a Letter of Intent to attend VCSU and play football for the Vikings this fall.

Kollar is currently a senior at Underwood High School. He plans to major in biology while at VCSU.

A 6-foot-1 linebacker, Kollar helped Underwood to a 10-4 record, a section championship and a state runner-up finish in Minnesota 9-man football last season.

Kollar started all 14 games for Underwood and recorded 97.5 total tackles. He was named All Conference, All Section and All State. Kollar was also named Most Valuable Lineman in the conference and made the Academic All State Team.

He is the son of Carl and Lisa Kollar.

Valley City State (N.D) went 5-5 last season and won a share of the North Star Athletic Association conference title. The Vikings have won three straight conference championships.
