Rockets surge past Arrows

Published 10:25am Wednesday, February 12, 2014

UNDERWOOD — The hosting Underwood girls team would claim a Little Eight Conference victory after a second half surge over the Ashby Arrows 46-40 Tuesday.

“I thought our ladies played hard tonight as we do every time we take the floor,” Arrows coach Troy Mickelson said. “We got into foul trouble tonight as a team and had to mix and match our line up as fouls allowed.”

Ashby’s Madison VanSanten poured in 17 of her 19 points in the second half to lead the team.

The Rockets look to continue its success as it travels to take on another LEC competitor in Battle Lake at 7:30 p.m. Friday, while the Arrows will look to rebound as it travels to Ortonville for a 7:30 p.m. game Thursday.
