A Fergus Falls man who allegedly broke into a residential garage last summer pleaded guilty March 14 in Otter Tail County District Court.

Gregory Joseph Schizzano, 56, pleaded guilty to felony third-degree burglary.

According to the criminal complaint, Schizzano stole a steel gas weed eater, valued at $200-$250, in August from a garage in the 300 block of West Maple Avenue in Fergus Falls. He then reportedly sold the item to North Union Repair for $40. Sept. 25, Schizzano allegedly showed up at the residence and asked the weed eater owner not to inform law enforcement about what happened and agreed to give her cash.

Schizzano’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 2.
